Hibiscus syriacus (Syrian Rose)
The following group of hardy deciduous shrubs are highly
prized for their free flowering habit from October to March,

from salt-laden winds.

pronounced Red eye zone.
H. syriacus ardens. Small flower, double, soft Lavender
Mauve, with a Deep Carmine centre.
H. syriacus "Bi-colour Hybrid". Small flower, semi-double,
Soft Pink, with a reddish centre.
H. syriacus "Carnation Boy". Small flower, tight compact
double, Bright Lavender Purple, fading to Lavender Mauve.
H. syriacus "Carnation Girl". Small flower, tight ruffled
double, White suffused with Pink, particularly around the
edges.

(dies away to ground level), re-grows in the warmer weather
to produce huge blooms (23-25 cm) (9-10 in) in various
colour tones from Red, White. Mauvey Pink and Dark Red.
Flowers are single.
Hibiscus tiliacus. Species. known as the Cotton Tree, from
